WINTER IGLO
Aside from all the other activities, you can enjoy in the snow, we also offer an experience that is unique and unforgettable - making an igloo. The most important thing in organized igloo making is teamwork. After finding a suitable location for building the igloo, a part of the group removes any excess snow. The second part of the group forms the snow blocks necessary for the construction project.
Together, both teams determine the diameter of the dome. Before building 60x50x30 cm blocks from the lower layers of solid crystallized snow, it is necessary to remove any snow deposits that are not sufficiently stable. Blocks with somewhat smaller dimensions are arranged in the upper layers.
An igloo needs a lot of strength to construct since it takes about 50-60 blocks of snow to build one small igloo that will serve as a short-term residence for two people.
Using a knife, the inside and outside of the domes can be scratched to create smooth surfaces over which dissolved water will flow; we can also use paint applied to the edges of the blocks to provide a better visual effect.

Did you know :
• In the language of the Inuit, better known as the Eskimos, the word igloo means a house made of snow? Snow houses resemble half a ball and are used by Eskimos as temporary residences when they go hunting. Igloos are made of frozen snow blocks, and a skilled builder can build a smaller one in less than two hours.
• When well made, an adult can stand on top of the igloo and it will not collapse, and supposedly such a solid igloo can withstand the blow of a large polar bear.
• A well-constructed igloo can withstand the weight of an adult standing on its top and is reputed to be able to withstand the blow of a large polar bear.
